  • Location, location location! Why do I want to be there?
  • What is the population census of this location look like?
  • Who will be my clients and what is there med income?
  • What does my competition look like?
  • How have other business done in this location?
  • what does my financial forecast look like?
  • What is my target food to beverage ratio?

Step 3 - What will make my place special?

  • How much budget do you want to put in design?
  • What is unique about the place I want to build?
  • Is there something special about my location and ambiance that separates me from the place down the street?
  • How will my location flow?
  • Am I just serving food and drinks or is there an after dinner atmosphere I am trying to grab?

Arty H. DeMattia - Principal Designer & Consultant

Arty has been working in the design, engineering and construction industry for 15 years.  In addition Arty has been working in all aspects of the hospitality industry for 20 years.  Arty is also a Graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and owner of 84 Design Group and co-owner of Mass Bay Bartending School.

Eric is a form member of the United States Army and graduate of Savannah College of Arts. Eric has worked in the restaurant business for over 25 years now bartending, consulting and managing. Eric is also  co-owner of Mass Bay Bartending School.
